A Decade of Impact: 2016–2026

Ten years ago, the Digital Lab was founded on a bold premise: that the intersection of technology, art, and medicine could fundamentally transform a child's hospital experience. Since 2016, we have grown from a small multidisciplinary experiment at BC Children’s Hospital into a global digital health innovator. By turning "what if" into reality, our team has spent the last decade pioneering Virtual Reality to ease patient anxiety, utilizing 3D printing for complex surgical planning, and building health platforms that have reached over 150 countries.

As our journey as the Digital Lab draws to a close, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our clinical partners, our donors, and most importantly, the children and families of British Columbia who inspired us to keep dreaming. While our chapter is ending, we are incredibly proud of the legacy we leave behind. The foundations of innovation we have built together will continue to shape the future of pediatric healthcare for years to come. Thank you for an incredible ten years.
